Zac was born in South Africa. He attended Diocesan College (Bishops) to pursue his dream of playing professional sport. After representing the 1st XV rugby and 1st XI cricket teams at Bishops, he studied at multiple academic institutions, played cricket professionally, and worked for various businesses in the sports industry.
He is now a Performance Coach, with bases in London and Cape Town, providing services for clients throughout the world. He is available to partner with athletes and teams from all sporting codes who are wanting to take their game to the next level.
Zac has completed the following degrees and certifications:
Bachelor of Economic and Social Studies in Social Policy from Cardiff University (2013)
Postgraduate Diploma in Management, specializing in Sports Management from the University of Cape Town (2014)
Bachelor of Applied Social Science, majoring in Psychology and Counselling from the South African College of Applied Psychology (2021)
Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology from the South African College of Applied Psychology (2023)
Australian Cricket Board Level One Cricket Coaching Certificate (equivalent to English Cricket Board Level Two)
Further, Zac is highly experienced in performance sport as both a player and a coach/mentor. He has:
Captained Western Province in professional cricket in South Africa
Played first-class cricket in England
Served as an Overseas Professional Player-Coach for nine seasons
Represented Green Point Cricket Club as a Player-Coach for nine seasons
Offered 121 private batting and wicket-keeping coaching for 14 years
Worked as a 121 Performance Coach for three years
Competed on the Western Province Amateur Golf Tour and the HOP Padel Tour
Delivered workshops on the Psychology of Cricket for three years
Consulted for Bishops Rugby and Surrey County Cricket Club
Zac has experience in the commercial sports industry too having been previously employed by Betway, Signet Sports Licensing, Fox Sports Asia, Team Talk Media. He is also a brand ambassador for DP Cricket.
Zac combines what he has learnt from his professional cricket career, academic qualifications, hours spent coaching, and work experiences to provide services that foster consistent high performance in a way that is sustainable.
